Kakimoji

Welcome to the homepage for the Kakimoji Domain webring. This ring is designed to bring together those domains which have Japanese onomatopoeia as part or all of their name (onomatopoeia is a word that represents a sound). For example, this site's domain name, nade-nade, is the sound effect for ruffling someone's hair. Kakimoji itself is the word for the sound effect lettering often seen in manga (Japanese comics).

Rules
  1. One site per domain. We'd prefer if member sites are at the top level (i.e. www.domainname.net/, not www.domainname.net/members/genki/), but we're flexible. However, if you join and then your friend with a site at the same domain tries to join, they'll be rejected.
  2. Must be Japanese, must be onomatopoeia. So bangbang.net doesn't qualify; neither does otakuheaven.com. If we don't recognize the word, we'll look it up on Jeffrey's Japanese/English Dictionary. If it's not there, we may ask you for the meaning and some sort of example.
  3. The site/domain does not have to be related to anime, or manga; presumeably there will be some sort of Japanese association, if you have a Japanese domain name, but we won't exclude on that basis.
  4. We reserve the right to reject sites with no content beyond the index/ring page; also, to reject sites that are really, really poorly designed. This is our "neighborhood", and we want to have some level of respect for the sites sharing it.
Join

If you've read the above rules and feel your site qualifies, fill out the application form. DO NOT put the ring code on your page until we've accepted you into the ring. When you get the email telling you your site's been approved, you're good to go.

The available ring logos are on the logo page. Download whichever one you like to your server, and insert it into your page when you add the ring code. If you get really motivated and make your own logo, we'd love to see it!
