Omoidasu Onshuu

Welcome to the homepage for 'Omoidasu Onshuu', an anime-inspired story I'm developing, and hope to eventually see as a comic (manga-style, of course). Right now there's not a whole lot here (still looking for an artist), but you can read up on the characters, storyline, and see some fanart.

This is the story of a Japanese high-school freshman, Miyume Tomada, who 'inherits' an ancient naginata from an old woman who runs a museum. Rather, the naginata claims her as its new owner. It's also a story of love and reincarnation, as Miyume learns about her past life and about very deadly mistakes that may be repeated...

What Does "omo-whatever" Mean, Anyway?

Using Jeffrey Friedl's Japanese-English Dictionary Server, I looked for words that I thought would convey the general idea of the story. omoidasu is defined as to recall; to remember, while onshuu, at least from one set of characters, means love and hate. So the title loosely translates, at least to me, as 'remembering love and hate', which is a pretty accurate description of the story's main theme. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. ^_^
